FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Could you tell me my transport/parking options for getting to the event?
Federal Way is near Tacoma Washington and Seattle Washington.  The best airport would be Sea-Tac International Airport, which is 22 minutes by car. There is plenty of parking available.  I took Uber from the airport, which was $50 each way.

What should I bring to the event?
I would bring minimal crafting supplies as almost everything you need is provided. All project supplies are provided except for the following:
1) Acrylic blocks for stamping (b, d, e) or Stamp Positioner
2) Your favorite pair of scissors and/or trimmer
That’s it!  I supply Liquid Glue, Glue Dots, and Dimensionals

What are the rooms like?
Attendees enjoy a single room with a half bath (sink and toilet). Shower stalls are provided in a shared space down the hall.  Most rooms are on the 2nd floor, so attendees must request a 1st-floor room if they can’t do stairs as there is no elevator to the 2nd floor. It’s not rustic, but it isn’t a spa resort either. Comfort and beauty. It’s best if you are looking for a ground-floor room to secure your registration as soon as possible.

Damas Bay Centre Sample Single Room

Can I stay an extra day?
Yes, please feel free to register for Thursday evening by selecting the Thursday-Sunday option.

I already have the Retreat Stamp Set?
If you don’t already own the retreat stamp set, GEARS & TEXTURES Photopolymer Stamp Set (#166851), it will be included with your registration as a default.  If you already own GEARS & TEXTURES, please bring it with you to the retreat. During registration, you’ll have the option to request a substitute stamp set.

What is the MarketPlace?
My experience from past events has been that some guests like to take their time and not be rushed (that’s me). I’ve designed the event so you’ll be able to complete included technique projects without being rushed. However, some stay up late or work quickly to complete the projects, so I have created the MarketPlace. The MarketPlace is where top paper crafting designers will offer projects to be completed that are more detailed projects (or just plain cute), ranging from cards to gift giving. This is your opportunity to craft amazing projects with the designer on hand to help guide you and answer questions. These projects are optional. The prices and themes will vary, generally between $1 to $20. MarketPlace projects are not included in the retreat price
